Love the fit and look of these! Always struggled to find pants given my powerful rear and thighs. Only drawback is the dye of the jeans rubs off on my hands - common with dark wash though!
My first order fit perfectly around my curves and small waste.
I own the April and LOVE them! The Nicole high rise fit AMAZING except the waist. They are tighter in the waist than other Fran jeans. The sizing of the jean is fine, it just runs smaller in the waist.
The quality of the pants speaks for itself. They fit right and look good. Though I still like the feel of traditional jeans these will be on top of the list.
Nicole High Rise Skinny Dark Wash
The fit was perfect and they’re incredibly comfortable. I never wear jeans, I can’t stand to wear them but I will be wearing these regularly! The only thing I wish is that they were a little bit longer. I’m 5’9” and they’re not quite as long as I would prefer.
I’ve been training a lot and as a result getting bigger thighs and hips. Not being able to fit into what I used to, I started the hunt for jeans. I’m 5’4 about 170lbs and bought a size 31. I have never been more comfortable in a pair of jeans before!
I have a couple of Fran Denim jeans. They are very comfortable and have no gap at the waist. The only problem is that I have the Nicole in two different washes and the lighter color is bigger than the dark wash. I kept it because I’m terrible about sending stuff back but now I don’t know what size to order next time. I like the tighter fit of the first pair better. If it wasn’t for this I would have given 5 stars.
Just did a Fran workout today. Woo hoo
These fit like a glove and I will be ordering more.
Not a huge fan of “skinny” jeans so these are my compromise for the skinny look but still accommodating muscular calves. Similar to my other 4 pairs, these mold to my body in about an hour or so and feels like a second skin. I love that this brand fits my hourglass figure without waist gaps and doesn’t try to flatten my booty. Ordered in 27 with 26”W 29” at belly button 38”hips 5’7” 155. I have 26 & 27 in different styles but prefer 27 in the skinnier styles.
These are the first pair of jeans that have fit me perfectly! I have spent a lifetime buying and altering jeans.. finally got it right.
Two suggestions: 1. Black jeans 2. A little stretch would be great to keep the shape
I have not had a pair of jeans that fit well since I was in my teens. These jeans are amazing, they fit like they were custom made for me. I'm 5'5" and weigh just about 150 pounds. I used the suggested measurements of right at the belly button and the largest part of the booty which came out to 30" and 38" I do have a muscular build and went with a size 27. I love that I don't have to struggle to get them on or wear a belt to keep them up. I can't even wear my old jeans anymore because I know how comfortable I am in my Fran Denim.
I have eyed Fran Denim for years now, but was never confident in sizing to actually purchase. I am 5'7" 76kg weightlifter usually weighing between 72-75kg and went with size 29. Perfect for thick legs, butt, and waist. Before I was wearing jeans from Lucky, which I also do like, and those were size 30 with the long size, but tight tight tight with not much give. After reading reviews I chose 29 from Fran Denim and they fit really well! The only change I would make for future orders is ordering a mid rise waist because the high rise is a high rise. Do it!!
Such a great pair of jeans! They’re comfortable and fit my waiste and thighs and even the length
had a friend over that I convinced to try buy a pair of jeans from you while she was here … when they arrived it was the bedst fitted jeans she had ever tried… absolutely a success
I bought these because my legs outgrew my Old Navy jeans. These fit snug around my waist with room for my legs and no gap in the back. Could not be more pleased. I am 5'6", 191 lbs with a 34" waist. I bought a size 32.
Madisons in this wash are my favorite jeans. I have a 44.5” hip measurement and wear size 31.
They are a perfect fit and very comfortable
Overall, the denim is nice. No waist gap and plenty of thigh room. For my frame, there is too much material in the thigh and front of jeans resulting in a pouch of extra fabric.
I ordered the dark denim and did not receive the dark, but instead was sent the light version. I did keep them to avoid returns.
Soft, flattering, and high quality
Fit through the waist hips and thighs was perfect, as was the rise and length, but this pair was not fitted enough for me through the knees and calves. I think a petite super skinny would be perfect. Size 29, 5’4”, 165 lbs, I carry most of my weight in my thighs.
5’4” 155lbs size 28
They stretch quite a bit when you wear them. I for sure could have sized down at least 1 size, they feel a little big once I wear them.
I am IN LOVE with these jeans! I've never found anything that fits me so well. I am so excited not to have that terrible waist gap I had just decided was inevitable. I'd love to see more options in the cropped/petite realm. I'm 5'3" 133 pounds and the 27 fit me perfectly, although still just a touch longer than I usually wear.
I am 99% in love with these jeans. They are comfortable and flattering, but the fabric over the zipper doesn't lay flat over the zipper. It's mildly irritating, but overall I love these jeans.
Mika High Rise Petite Skinny Medium Wash
I love these jeans! It took me 3 tries to get the right size that fit well, but after I did, they stretched to fit perfectly. I wear them as often as I can. I wear a size 30 and am 5 foot 2 and around 165 pounds. They were just a tad bit tight on the first fit, but they did stretch some and are great now.
They're still my favorite jeans! I can do anything in them.
I now have 3 pair of fran denim. And I love them. They fit perfect for the athletically built lady.
Love the way these fit. They are my new favorite jeans! I’m 5’4, weigh about 135 and ordered a size 26.
I guess I am doomed to never be able to find pants that fit my small waist and huge booty and thighs well. I was really excited for these because everyone raved about catering to the athletic body. I am definitely bottom heavy but I have a really small waist and even these didn't work for me. I still gave 4 stars though because it isn't the companies fault my body is lame :( I am 5'-6" and 178 pounds.
I’m loving these-the exposed button fly is so cute! Perfect rise, and inseam length. I’m 5’4” 170ish with 31” waist and 44” hip. I ordered a size 29 and they fit like a glove. Great stretch/give in the fabric and they don’t get baggy with wear.
Was looking for a slightly different Jean style than what I already had. These are very cute and fit perfectly
5'2", 140 lb, athletic build (from Olympic weightlifting), size 26
The first time I put them on, it was love. Plain and simple, these jeans are amazing. This is my first pair of FD jeans.
A few notes:
- I was on the fence for months, as it sounds like many people were. How could they really be as good as they sounded? Well, to me, they are.
- I am a 27 in other brands, and even after comparing against the measurement chart and seeming to be a 27 in FD, I followed the advice of some reviewers and went a size down for a snug fit. BEST decision ever. They fit beautifully to my preference, like a second skin.
- Some reviewers mentioned the "flat-bottom" look the jeans gave them. I have an average-sized butt and thought the same when I first put them on. However, after a few times wearing them and a time or two through the wash, they loosened up a bit and that "flat-bottom" look doesn't seem to be a problem anymore.
The long and sort of it is: I recommend buying these jeans, possibly a size down, and not being too afraid of a slightly flat bottom when you first pull them on. Just do a squat, feel how they move with you, and marvel at the miracle. Thanks, FD.
It feels beyond weird to pull on jeans that actually fit my legs. And to be able to wear them more than once without them being stretched out to the point of not looking good. AND they actually feel sturdy like jeans should. They have stretch, but they aren’t jeggings. They hold you very nicely. I did need to get them hemmed, but I’m 4’10” so that’s normal for me. Overall DEFINITELY worth the money and would buy again.
FINALLY!!! Finally there's a pair of jeans that doesn't gap at the waist!! And fit me like a glove everywhere. So thankful I found these jeans, no more belt for me! I'm 5'5", 123 lbs with muscular legs and size 26 fits perfectly. I initially tried sizing down like many of the reviews recommended and they were too sung at the seam where the waist band met the body of the jean.
I really want to love these jeans and I don't want to leave a negative review, but I do want to be completely honest. I'm 5' 4" and weigh 125lbs. I'm a runner, fitness coach, spin instructor and very athletic. I inquired about what size I should buy and it was suggested I go with a 26 so that's the size I purchased. I feel like the jeans look good and my mom complimented me, but they just don't feel very comfortable at all. They feel so stiff and after a few hours I just can't wait to take them off. I thought after wearing them several times they would have loosened up a bit to feel more comfy, but they haven't. Oddly enough they feel most uncomfortable at the croch; the jeans look normal but every time I walk I feel them gathering between my legs and it's uncomfortable. I also didn't realize that they're hang dry only until after I washed and dried them. My fault for not looking first, but I'm a busy mom of two and 99% of my clothing can go in the dryer so I didn't even think about it. They feel like they've shrunk slightly and now I'm not sure if I'll end up wearing them often or at all at this point. Again, I really don't want to be negative, but after a few months of wanting to try this brand they just didn't live up to my expectations 🤷♀️
After reading many reviews on sizing I choose Size 28 and they fit great. According to the size chart I would have been Size 29 or 30, but reviewers recommended sizing down which I agree with after having them on. These are a buy again jean. I weigh 150 lbs and 5’4.
These jeans look really classy and could easily be dressed up or down. They are incredibly comfortable and were more snug in the waist and roomy in the butt and thigh area. I ordered size 27 based on the measurement chart, but by the end of the day they were too baggy. I think its smart to go down one size from your regular jean size. I am athletic and bigger in the butt and thighs but more lean muscle not bulky like a weight lifter. I am 5'5 127 lbs and my measurements are waist 26.5' and hips 38' for reference. For these measurements I would try size 25 (I am 26 in most regular jeans so I ordered these too big to begin with).
I've been searching for a long time for a jean that fits me right, and these are them. I have 3 pairs of the Nate Slim Fit style now and I couldn't be happier.
