These are the best boot cut jeans I’ve ever owned! They fit just like all of fran denims other jeans. So comfortable! I am 140lbs 5’3 and I wear a size 26 in all of mine.
First off, I am 5'6" 185# & have very muscular legs. I have been searching for jeans that accommodate my quads, with out having to go up in sizes, for a very long time. I was a little hesitant to purchase these because of the price, but I am very glad I did. These jeans fit my waist, butt & quads PERFECTLY! The material is nice and has just the right amount of stretch to them. I also didn't feel like they stretched out after wearing. My only recommendation for this particular style would be to offer them in a longer length. I am not very tall and I have always purchased jeans in a regular length. I will not be able to wear these jeans with any shoe that has much of a heel, which I was hoping to do. These jeans, at this length, would definitely not accommodate anyone over 5'6". I would also agree with the other reviewer that said the "bell bottom" is just a little to wide. I think being a little more tapered in the lower leg and having a longer length would make these jeans absolutely amazing. I will definitely be purchasing some of your other styles. Thanks Fran Denim!!
I have searched for years for jeans and tried every brand from target and Levi’s to high end $$$ but this is truly the first that fit my quads and butt and didn’t ride down in the front or gap in the waist- these are perfect! I’m 5’9, 170lbs and 31 fit perfect, maybe if anything a smidge loose- so depends what kind of fit you like. I have never been a skin tight jeans kinda girl but these fit well all day, don’t get loose and sag. Wash well, very soft, able to wear day 1.
I am about 5'4.9 and weigh 160lbs with a 35.5 inches at the belly button and 43.5 inches at the largest area of my butt and got a size 31 which seemed like the right fit in the waist, thighs, and butt.
These pants are really comfortable as far as getting ratios done correctly of waist to hip. It wasn't too tight or anything but man these are more bell-bottoms than bootcut in my opinion it was just too much. Maybe If I wanted to wear heels it would work, but I'm not heel a person. Or maybe I need to be taller? But I read that most people thought it was shorter so I figured a little bit under my shoe would be okay. But the flare is just a lot. I don't lift like super heavy weights nor am I a fitness instructor. I do weight training at home with 8-15lbs but not enough to where I would consider myself super built, however I do have a much bigger bottom half than top half.
So maybe this would make sense with the super strong ladies who have like very large muscular legs and calves and want more proportion balance?
Also the fabric is kind of light/thin they felt like a pair of pants I bought in Nicaragua for 15 dollars, so I guess that's good if you want thinner fabric for the hotter days.
I may see about exchanging these for a skinny pair of pants instead of just returning them because I did like the ratio cut.
