Super cute and so comfortable!
This is my 5th pair and they are awesome! Have always had a smaller waist and big hips/butt. Fit perfect. I'm 5'3" 145 lbs athletic build. Purchased size 27.
tldr: Sarah fit me true to my measurements (29) but I had to size down in the Nicole (28) for the perfect fit. Customer support was very helpful in finding the perfect fit. I'm thrilled to find jeans that actually fit my body type.
I'm not a lifter, just naturally have larger hips/thighs and a smaller waist. I ordered the Nicole and Sarah styles to try. My measurements lined up exactly with size 29, but I found the 29 Nicole's bunched up a bit around the bottom of the zipper for me. The person that I emailed with was very helpful in tips for finding the proper fit and I ended up ordering a big order of different sizes and different styles and sent back the ones that didn't fit to avoid multiple shipments. I've been wearing my gray Sarah's and denim Nicole's pretty much nonstop in the week since I got them and have not had any complaints yet.
I keep wearing these thinking they'll fit better if I "break them in", but I just don't think they're right for my body. I do have a longer torso so maybe I should've gotten a high rise style because these are pretty low rise on me; they hit at a weird point on my pelvic bones which makes the waist band very binding & uncomfortable. Excellent fit in the thighs and calves, though! I'm 5'5", 160lbs, normally wear 6-8 and got these in a 27.
So I’m what my sister and I like to call slimthicc. 😂. Smaller waist and bigger hips/thighs/booty. If you’re looking at Fran Denim you’re probably aware of how difficult is is to find jeans that fit an “athletic” built lady, but OMG these are the ones! No waist gap! No plumber butt! No feeling like my thighs are going to suffocate! I’ll never go back to any other denim!
I’m 5’6”, 152# and I bought a size 30.
