  • When measuring, do not pull the measuring tape too tight. Allow it to rest flat on the body without any pulling or sagging. 
  • If your measurements don't fall within the specs, use the height and weight chart. It means the contour of your body is different than our base line but it should fit where the jeans actually rest. Feel free to email us if in doubt. 
  • You want them to fit snug at first. As with all jeans, they loosen up after wearing them for a while so you want it to be snug when you first put them on.
  • If you're in between sizes, go with the smaller size.
  • If in doubt, go with the size you normally wear without compensating for your quads.
  • Make sure to read the product descriptions. There are a few styles that are running big or small and you have to adjust accordingly. 
  • Please remember that this is internet shopping and there are too many body types for the sizing charts to work 100% of the time. It may take an exchange to get it right. We provide free shipping for the first exchange.

  • Order the normal waist size you would wear without compensating for your thighs and glutes. For example, if you would normally wear a 32 but have to buy a 33 just to fit your quads, order a 32. These jeans come with more room in the quads and rear so you don't have to size up.

Actually athletic fitting

I really wish more people knew about Fran Denim. This is the only pair of jeans I’ve ever found that is truly athletic fit. They fit my waist perfectly and have room throughout the jeans, while also shaping around the musculature of my lower body. Love these.

I wouldn’t say that I’m super muscular in terms of bulk – I’m 170 pounds at 5’10” around 12% - 15% body fat - so I’m kind of surprised that when I find an athletic fit jeans, they don’t fit me the way they should. Most jeans are super tight around my thighs, but then they have one to 2 inches of space between my waist and the jeans. There’s this annoying gap there that frustrates me and eventually I get rid of that pair of pants.

Fran has been the exception – these jeans actually have some room in the thighs and glutes, and they fit snuggly around my waist. I’ve spoken with the owner and learned about how he sources and manufacturers the jeans and this is also very impressive. He’s doing it better than the bigger brands, and actually making jeans for athletic fitting people.

Huge fan of Fran – and I hope that everyone who lift weights starts using them more.

Great pair of jeans but sizing might be off

These look and feel great. My only issue is the sizing was off and i feel like they run small. I had the black as well as the dark wash Nate Men's Slim Fit Jeans but for some reason I had to get these in a size 33 waste when the others are 31. Maybe size up a size or two for them to fit properly. Other than that these are perfect! Definitely buying more pairs!

Solid jeans but sizing might be off when compared to Nates'

Looks good and nice stretch. Sizing is definitely smaller when compared to the other shades of Nate's that are offered. I had to size up by 2 inches to find the right fit with them. I have tried the other Nates before and felt they were true to size.
