NOTE: You want them to fit nice and snug at first but not uncomfortably tight. They will loosen up a bit as you wear them.

  • When measuring, do not pull the measuring tape too tight. Allow it to rest flat on the body without any pulling or sagging. 
  • If your measurements don't fall within the specs, use the height and weight chart. It means the contour of your body is different than our base line but it should fit where the jeans actually rest. Feel free to email us if in doubt. 
  • You want them to fit snug at first. As with all jeans, they loosen up after wearing them for a while so you want it to be snug when you first put them on.
  • If you're in between sizes, go with the smaller size.
  • If in doubt, go with the size you normally wear without compensating for your quads.
  • Make sure to read the product descriptions. There are a few styles that are running big or small and you have to adjust accordingly. 
  • Please remember that this is internet shopping and there are too many body types for the sizing charts to work 100% of the time. It may take an exchange to get it right. We provide free shipping for the first exchange.
  • If you need additional help, email us here (contact page) with your measurements around your belly button and widest part of your hips, height and weight. We are more than glad to help.

JACKETS - we suggest going with your shirt size. 

 MEN

  • Order the normal waist size you would wear without compensating for your thighs and glutes. For example, if you would normally wear a 32 but have to buy a 33 just to fit your quads, order a 32. These jeans come with more room in the quads and rear so you don't have to size up.

I have the Sarah, Nora, and Ellen all in size 29 and they fit beautifully. I went with the Julie in black because I prefer the high waist cut. I’m 5’ 7”a fit hourglass at 167lbs with a 32” waist and 43” hips and the 29 fits great with zero muffin top. This was the first cut that fit larger than all the others. I attribute this to the fabric not being a typical denim but more a twill, at least from what I could tell. Knowing how Frans work as well as I do, upon trying these on it was VERY clear that I needed to size down to a 28 to prevent the likelihood of sagging in the seat. I considered that they would likely shrink a tad after a wash and dry, but it didn’t seem like that would be enough to get them to fit like my other 29s. To be continued…

Inconsistent sizing

Size 29 in Sarah jeans fit tight, size 29 in Julie are way too loose at the waist. Not worth it for the price.

Not buying any other jeans now

So I ordered a 28 based off the size of the model wearing size 27 (I am 155#, 29 inch waist, 41 inch hips). When I first put them on I thought I had made a huge mistake - they were verrrry snug. But after a few minutes they relaxed a bit and now fit perfectly. I appreciate that these feel like actual durable jeans and not like jeans-ish leggings.

Love but cut WAY big!

Love these! I went down 2 sizes on them!

Just okay

I was really hoping these jeans would work for me, as a lifter and climber who has thick thighs and a smaller waist. Honestly they're just okay. The quality is iffy, and there wasn't a petite version (I have to hem all my pants.)
I would return, but they don't accept returns if you've worn them.. which is stressful since you don't know if a jean fits until you wear them at least once! I knew that I would pay return shipping to send them back ahead of time, but when I first opened them they seemed great and I wasn't worried. However, after wearing for a couple of hours they lost shape and felt frumpy. Now in hindsight, the setup of this retail model feels predatory.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend these :(. Way too high a risk for the price point.

Katie, you want them to fit nice and snug at first because they'll loosen up once you wear them. If you want to try another pair in the future, I suggest going down a size.
Sorry they didn't work out.
