I love these jeans! And the low rise were not binding, and so very comfortable!
I'm 5'7" and around 154#. I purchased a 28 and 29 in both colors. I ended up going with the 29 in both colors because of the length and more "coverage" when bending over (I mean, they are low rise jeans...). FYI, the lighter wash runs smaller than the darker wash. I could have easily worn either 28 or 29 in the dark wash, but I couldn't even get the light wash 28's on.
When I decided to buy these jeans I was a little nervous because I'm 5'1, 140lbs and had to go by the height/weight chart because my measurements didn't match. I went with a size 29 and they fit perfectly around my thighs. I love how they look and feel. Only thing I wish is they were a tad shorter but I just folded them at the bottom and it looked super cute. I just bought another pair of jeans yesterday!
The reason for 4/5 is that these jeans are not very low rise. They are more like mid-rise. No waist gap as promised though! I love them, just not low rise as advertised. They do start to stretch out a little bit even day one so they start pretty snug. I am 5'3 and 130 pounds with a big booty and muscular thighs. Size 28 fits perfectly, 27 was too small. I ordered both and returned the 27s.
I'm 5'2 and 130 pounds and order a size 27. At first I didn't think I got a big enough size bc they were super tight at first. But after wearing them for 5 min and doing some squats (which they didn't fall off my butt like other low rises) I realized they fit really well!
