I have bought "athletic" fit jeans from another company that claims to make jeans for a small waist and thicker thighs/butt - none have fit me as well as these. The denim feels high-quality and the fit is perfect. I'm 5'9", 164 lbs and I bought a size 29. They were quite tight when I received them but I kept them hoping they would break in to the right size, and they did. Lots of stretch means they're always comfortable. The leg opening is small, which I find more flattering.
I've never worn a more comfortable flattering pair of jeans in my life. I'm 6' and weigh 170 and wear size 28. PLEASE MAKE MORE JEAN OPTIONS (black) IN TALL!!
I’ve been fighting with my jeans ever since I started lifting. Tugging, bulging, Gaping... oh my! I followed FranDenim a while ago and finally bit the bullet and purchased. So glad I did. The jeans fit like a glove, and the measurements/sizing guidance is spot on. Just order them. You won’t regret it!
First time ordering from Fran denim and really love the jeans! I wasn't sure on sizing so I asked before ordering and was recommended to order size 26. I'm 5'10 and about 168lb. I purchased the Emma high rise long and the length is great. I can folks then up once and they are perfect or if I had heals they would actually be long enough. The thighs fit great and the stretch of the jean is amazing (I could squat in them if I wanted!!) the waste is a tad snug but I think with wear it'll stretch out I think the 27 would've been too big. My only complaint... Being taller I have bigger feet (size 10) and to take the jeans off the ankle/foot opening is a little too small and I struggle a little. Besides that perfect and well worth the money (typically I only like spending ~30-40 on jeans so this was a stretch but it was worth it)
With online ordering, sometimes you're taking a stab in the dark on sizes. Since, I've never tried this brand, I basically guessed at my size. After recently gaining weight, I thought I knew the size I should order, but unfortunately ordered a size (or two?) too small. I returned my pair and paid $10 (because the company won't reimburse this shipping fee on returns or exchanges). I don't think I'll purchase again for this reason. I'm getting an exchange for a larger size and hopefully they'll work out. However, if they don't and I continue having to pay $10 to ship them back and forth to try again, I'll feel cheated. I think companies that sell online in this way should eat the cost of shipping to make sure their customers aren't stuck with it while trying to find the right product (obviously because we can't try in the store it feels we're wasting money). If it turns out that I find the right size and love the jeans, maybe I'll purchase again, but still I find that aspect very frustrating. I do think they seem to be high-quality, and since they're advertised to fit a body type more like my own, I'm hoping for the best. Still, I think they should really reconsider this policy and if not, I'll probably look for other companies that produce a similar product while offering free shipping on returns.
