I finally found my size in jeans -perfect fit at the waist and through the thighs, and they aren’t falling down on me all the time! I’m 62, have been lifting for about 5 years, and finding jeans that easily accommodate my thighs and bottom, but are tight enough at the waist, has been a problem my entire life! I’m 5’2” tall and weigh between135-140 pounds with slender hips. I purchased a size 28 after finding the 29, which according to my waist measurement, should have been my size, too big and am very happy. The material is super stretchy, which makes the jeans very soft and comfortable to wear. I agree with other viewers that a petite inseam should be about 25”, not 28”. I do have to roll these jeans up once. Can’t wait for more colors in the petite length of high-waisted jeans!
I'm 5'2, 130 lbs, and ordered a size 25. They fit GREAT-- snug around the waist, roomy and comfy in the butt, thighs, and calves. The ankle is tight (but doesn't leave indents), and I have to cuff them (but I have a 24" inseam so I'm used to it). I wish the pockets were deeper in the front, and larger in the back. Overall I'm in love! I'm a trailrunner and climber, not a heavy lifter, but I've always had a big butt/thighs/calves and a small waist. 100% will be ordering more from FRAN denim. They solved my jeans-never-fit problem.
For reference, I'm 5'0", ~114lbs and waist/hips are 25.5"/36". These fit PERFECT! I've been wearing Fashion Nova jeans for the last few years since they're the only ones I can find that fit my "curves", and they're affordable.
These are my first "splurge" pair of jeans in a while, so I'm super happy to report that they fit even better than expected - the waist is snug without being restricting, as are the glute, quad and calf areas. They're perfectly tapered at the ankle, with no weird bagginess at the knees (I tend to have an issue with this on other pants and leggings). Since I'm only 5'0", these are just about a 2 inches too long, but they don't bunch up as much as I thought a 28" inseam would (I don't really know why 28" is a "petite" inseam - petite should be more like 24 - 25", IMO).
They don't have the stretch of a jegging, which I really like, since I think the material feels sturdier without the extra elastic/spandex type materials. It feels durable and like it'll last quite a while.
My one complaint is that the front pockets are like most women's pants pockets - shallow. While I realize some people think large pockets look bulky on women's jeans, I'm calling BS on that excuse. Men's skinny jeans have deep pockets, and Radian Jeans currently makes deep-pocket jeans for women that are quite flattering. I would love to see some deep pockets on these jeans in the future. It's totally do-able and frankly shouldn't even be a question considering the price of the jeans. I'll step off my pockets soap-box now.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend these - they're perfect for the athletic build and feel durable.
While I'm not as toned as the models or fitness girls these were made for - I have thick thighs and booty with a slightly smaller waist. These are so comfortable and flattering. Love them and will reccomend!
